The AVV The lust was born in the spring of 2003, joining a long tradition ribadense associative, although cicateira residents associations in the urban core. The ends are structured from the contribution to solving the problems that arise and to improve the living of the inhabitants of the municipality.

The activities of the association enter into the various areas, among them the vindictive (provision of public spaces in the village), social (protest by the desire to build a shed land-sea large trading port) or cultural (potentiation and discovery Rio de Groban), trying to fit the requirements citizens on current issues, or noise, the general plan for urban development, following the concern by the antennae or any other that when it see fit. Yet developed two general assambléias year (the board of directors meets on a regular twice a month) and its fundamental line of action is based on encouraging citizen participation.

The association has no political affiliation, being created at a time of municipal government of the PP, developing most of his career so far under a municipal government of the PSOE and at present, a municipal government under the BNG. This indicates that they are not subordinated to any political party or to follow guidelines or to center claims against it.

In 2008 has 130 members (one member, one family).
