San Juan of Piñeira belongs to the Ribadeo archpriesty and the 343 residents in 1991 were on average 55 inhabitants / km 2.
Parish north-east coast of the municipality. The Cantabrian Sea puts the northern boundary of this parish, with a very high and indented coast.
It is planned that in the near future to install the industrial estate. Is currently in the process of land consolidation which should give a good impetus to this active parish.
East briefly borders with Covelas,by the east with Ove while the northeast it borders Vilaselan. To the north lies the Cantabrian Sea with a coastline of rocky and very large heights.
One can find two coves for swimming in Olga and Areosa, two sandy sea shore.
The area of pine and 6.50 km ² and has eight populations: Outeiro, Piñeira, Dompiñor, Vilar, Folgoso, Barreiro,Morgullón e Igresia.
